tips

Being organized is not about being clean, although that doesn't hurt.
Being organized is about being able to find what you need, when you need it!

Choose a space to work on.
(try to work on small projects that will lead you to your main goal).
To see a real difference, you should commit a couple of hours to each project as a whole, but you can break that down into more manageable increments.   Start by working for 15 minutes every other day.  You'll be amazed at what you can accomplish in just a week's time.

Sort your belongings.
Toss, donate, or sell anything that you don't want, use, need, or love.
Decide on categories for the items that you are keeping.

Find a home for these categories and label them!!
Keep items in their homes when not in use.
